Mission, Texas, the Home of the Grapefruit.

East Mission and the Sharyland area, along Shary Road and toward McAllen, is where many buyers start, for its subdivisions and Sharyland ISD schools. See my Sharyland homes for sale page and my guide to the best neighborhoods in Mission.

Central and north Mission has established neighborhoods close to downtown and Conway Avenue, plus newer subdivisions further north. This is where much of Mission's under-$250,000 inventory is.

West Mission toward Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park includes neighborhoods with larger lots and a quieter feel. If you want something gated, start with my guide to gated communities in Mission.

Mission Schools

Most of Mission is served by Mission CISD. Parts of the city fall in Sharyland ISD and La Joya ISD. Because district lines don't follow city limits, always confirm the school assignment for a specific address.
